関係代名詞

２つの文を１つの文にし、このとき一方の文は、もう一方の文の名詞を説明する。

who「誰の（ような）」

I need a friend who speaks ＿.（私は＿を話す友人がほしいです。）

This is the ＿ which I bought yesterday.（この＿は昨日買った本です。）

Those who want to stay here may do so.（ここにいたい人達は、そうしてもいいですよ。）

whose「誰の」

The ＿ whose name I couldn't remember called me.（名前を思い出すことができなかったその＿は私を呼びました。）

We know the girl whose ＿ is an artist.（私達は、＿が芸術家をしている少女を知っています。）

The classroom whose ＿s were broken is forbidden.　（＿が割られた教室は立ち入りが禁止されています。）

The woman whose picture they exhibit is not an ＿.　（彼らが展示している絵を描いた彼女は＿ではありません。）

whom「誰に」「誰を」

The woman whom we met yesterday is a ＿.（昨日私達が会った女性は＿です。）

He is the man whom ＿ met at the party yesterday.（彼は、＿が昨日パーティーで会った男性です。）

which

I bought the ＿ which was published recently.（私は最近出版された＿を買いました。）

He looked up a word in the ＿ which I gave yesterday.（私が昨日渡した＿で彼は単語を引きました。）

I have a ＿, seats of which are made of leather.（私は座席が皮でできている＿を持っています。）

We sought out the ＿, the nationality of which was unknown.（国籍の不明な＿を探し出した。）

that

先行詞に最上級が使われている場合

That is the most interesting ＿ that I have ever seen.（あの＿は私が今までに見た中で一番おもしろいです。）

「the only」「the first」「the same」が先行詞に使われている場合

This is the only ＿ that I can't understand.（これは私が理解できない唯一の＿です。）

「all」「any」「no」「anything」「nothing」などが先行詞に使われている場合

Is there anything that ＿ can do?（＿のできることが何かありませんか。）

what　

先行詞を必要としない。

What he says is true.（彼が話すことは本当のことです。）

What we have to decide is when we'll bring this to ＿.（私達が決定しなければならないのは、いつこれを＿へ導入するかです。）

You may take what you like.（あなたが好きなものは何でも取っていっていいですよ。）

複合関係代名詞

「who」「which」「what」＋「ever」

whoever・・・「～をするものは誰でも」「誰が～をしようとも」

You may tell whoever wants to know about ＿.（＿について知りたいと思っている人なら誰にでも教えていいですよ。）

Whoever calls on me, tell them ＿ am out.（誰がたずねてきたとしても、＿は出かけていると伝えてください。）

whichever・・・「どれでも」「どちらが～をしようとも」

Whichever you buy, new ＿s will be sold soon.（どれを買ったとしても、新しい＿がすぐに発売されます。）

whatever・・・「～をするものは何でも」「どんな～をしようとも」

You may do whatever you like.（何でも好きなことをしてもいいですよ。）

Whatever happens, ＿ must calm down.（どんなことが起ころうとも、＿は気を落ち着けなければならない。）
